The Skylight Quartet is a mixed group of dedicated Christians whose mission is to uplift audiences in the name of Jesus Christ through the familiar sound of Southern Gospel Quartet music. With the newer contemporary sound of Christian music today, the Skylight Quartet wishes to preserve the familiar Southern Gospel style music that has been prevalent since the inception of Southern Gospel Music. By hearing them you will realize they have their own special arrangements and sound.
Most of their recordings and special arrangements are done for them in Nashville by Jeff Duffield (well sought after arranger and musician).
Lead singer Rob Schrock and bass singer Kurt Vander Loon are graduates of the Steve Hurst School of Music and come from experienced musical backgrounds. Tenor singer, Robert Vander Leest and lead singer and new member Mike Looney also have earned training with musical experience. Together, the foursome have a special talent and blend.
Skylight Quartet has already shared the stage with such well known award winning groups as Triumphant Quartet, The Dixie Echoes, Tribute Quartet, Collingsworth Family, and others.
To all, young and old alike who desire to hear and feel the love of Jesus shared in song and testimony, come out to a concert nearby or if you would like to book the group for your church or special occasion, please contact Kurt Vander Loon for open dates that may fit your schedule.

Skylight Quartet Preparing for a New Season with a New Tenor!
Our prayers have been answered and Skylight now has an additional member as a new lead singer. We are very excited to be able to book new singing dates after April of 2014. Skylight will be coming back with all the members from the past - Kurt, Rob, and Robert (Hawkeye) and Mike Looney (photo at left), a very accomplished voice with a rich vocal history. Skylight can’t wait to introduce him to you and we have posted his bio on our website. We have much work to do trying to get all the parts worked out new recording on the way and a blending of our past with the future but, are very excited of what the Lord has in store for us in 2014.
Thanks all of you for your prayers in the past for our group and we are looking forward to getting out and seeing you.

"Whether the Skylight Quartet is in concert at a Civic Center, Auditorium, at a church, small or large, or at an outdoor meeting, they will have the audience laughing, crying, and enjoying the best in Gospel music. Their message is clear that they are singing to convey the message of God's salvation and his never-ending love.
You will hear happy, hand clapping rhythms, some soul searching ballads, and yes, traditional gospel classics. But also expect to hear a few of the old hymns of the church, done in the Skylight Quartet style, smooth and harmonious.
I am pleased to recommend the Skylight Quartet to any special service you may be having or to add good, quality Gospel music to your special occasion. I spent 42 years traveling the United States with the Heralders quartet, and I look forward to being at a Skylight Quartet sing whenever they are in the area. My home church has sponsored the Skylight Quartet on many occasions."

"If you ever want to hear great southern gospel music from a group who demonstrates the love of the Lord, then listen to the Skylight Quartet.
We had them at our church at Faith Fellowship Church in Irons, Michigan and our people loved them. They not only sing great and have terrific harmony, but they truly minister when they sing.
As a pastor and a former member of a southern gospel quartet, I have seen many groups come and go. The Skylight Quartet will not disappoint you; in fact, you will be blessed greatly.
Thanks, Skylights, for coming so far to sing for the Lord Jesus Christ!"
